Join us at SMK for an afternoon exploring modernism through the lens of the Black diaspora. The program features a keynote lecture by Richard J. Powell on Black art and transnational mobility, followed by a panel discussion on AfroScandinavian experiences and artistic production in the early 20th century. Together, the speakers offer new perspectives on migration, identity, and the shaping of modern art histories across borders.
