ABOUT SMK 

The national gallery of Denmark

SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst is the national gallery of Denmark. You’ll find the museum in Sølvgade in central Copenhagen – close to the Nørreport train/metro station. 

At SMK you’ll find more than 700 years of art. We offer around five special exhibitions per year, we have guided tours for children and adults and a wide arrange of events during the year.

Besides the main building in Sølvgade you can also visit SMK in Thy, Jutland and – on special occasions – at The Royal Cast Collection on Copenhagen’s harbour.
