Poetic words, intense tones, and strained bodies. Prepare yourself for a concert experience beyond the ordinary as the internationally renowned Danish musician and composer Oh Land performs on the museum’s stage with a new musical piece created especially for the exhibition Käthe Kollwitz – Mensch.
Inspired by the exhibition, Oh Land, in collaboration with musician and composer Adi Zukanović and writer Knud Romer, has created the musical work Victims of War, which brings sound and words to the vulnerability, humanity, and compassion that Kollwitz so passionately depicted. The work was premiered at the exhibition opening to such great demand that it is now returning for two additional performance days.
Join us as Oh Land, together with The Danish String Quartet, dancers Lukas Hartvig Møller and Jessica Lyall, and the art collective Vertigo, takes over SMK with a brand new musical and performative interpretation of Kollwitz’s iconic visual universe.
22 January 17.30-18.00
You have access to the exhibition 15.30-20.00
Please note that the ticket grants access to the exhibition Käthe Kollwitz – Mensch before and after the concert. To visit the rest of the museum, a day ticket or annual pass is required.
